On October 12th, 2012, Right Fits Trainer, Bradley LaRocque and his family went to Fierke Elementary school in his home town of Oak Forest; a recognition ceremony was scheduled in honor of his sister Amy who passed a year ago on June 4th. The ceremony included a bench that was donated to Fierke Elementary School from the Village of Tinley Park. Amy went to Fierke Elementary School from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Bradley stated “The bench is great, it is bright and full of life, which resembles Amy very well. It’s great to see how many lives she touched, as the days go by there are always people coming up to my family and sharing stories about Amy’s presence in their lives.” Amy’s teachers had been raising money to purchase a bench for the school library however when they discovered Tinley Park would donate it, they were very excited. The $200 they raised was donated to the local food pantry where Amy went every weekend to help out. The bench will be covered with kids and Amy’s books donated from Amy and her family.
